In October 2020, the highest share of Tunisian households (**** percent of respondents) declared that they were buying more food because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Moreover, as a result of the outbreak, over ** percent of Tunisian respondents avoided public transports, and over ** percent respected social distancing rules.
Furthermore, as of October 2020, only *** percent of Tunisian families stated that they washed their hands as a response to COVID-19. However, this outcome differed significantly from the previous survey conducted between April and May 2020, where almost all respondents said they washed their hands (over ** percent) and respected social distancing norms (** percent). Therefore, people’s attitudes towards COVID-19 changed over the different phases of the pandemic.
