Year-on-year percentage change (real and inflation-adjusted) in the actual rent paid for housing in Norway from 2011 to 2023

Rents paid for housing in Norway increased year-on-year between 2011 and 2023. Nevertheless, the inflation-adjusted change was negative between 2016 and 2023, except for 2017 and 2020, suggesting that rents grew at a slower rate than inflation. In 2023, the nominal increase in rents paid for housing amounted to four percent, while the real change (adjusted for inflation) was recorded at a negative **** percent.
