Asia's Millionaires Control The Most Wealth

The amount of wealth controlled by the world's population of super rich individuals continues to increase every year. According to finance firm Capgemini, HNWIs (high net worth individuals controlling assets of $1 million or more) controlled just under $59 trillion worldwide in 2015.

Asian millionaires now control more wealth than those in North America. Driven by services, technology and healthcare, Asia's millionaires are now worth $17.39 trillion compared to North America's $16.61 trillion. The global HNWI population is also growing, expanding 4 percent between 2014 and 2015 to 15.4 million.
